Playing Defensive Soccer…

Playing soccer is not just about running, kicking and striking a goal. It’s also about defensive play. Without effective defense, other skills become useless. This is why soccer players consider good defensive play as a prerequisite to win a match.

If you’re a defender, make sure you observe the opponent carefully before you make a move; and do not rush forward. One basic technique is to keep your distance from the opponent. And most importantly, stay calm and try to predict the opponent’s move so you can combat it effectively. Never underestimate your opponent. Remember, if you’re a good defender, you can help your team win the match.
